Terms and Conditions

Please ensure you read and fully understand these booking terms and conditions.

To avoid any misunderstandings, please contact us if anything is unclear so we will be able to explain in further detail.

Mayfield Snuggery reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

You should, therefore check and review them each time you make a booking.

The terms and conditions applying to your booking will be those in place of the date that you make your booking.

Bookings are subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • A contract between you and Mayfield Snuggery will come into existence when payment is received and a booking confirmation is issued showing the confirmed holiday dates.

  • The contract binds you and all the members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms and conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to a termination of the contract and loss of the booking.

  • We reserve the right to cancel your booking within 1 working day of you making the booking.

  • Included in the price is the provision of bed linen, towels and electricity. VAT is included at the current rate.

  • Prior to making a booking, it is your responsibility to check lodge details and images to make sure the accommodation is suitable.

  • A 20% non-refundable deposit of the holiday cost is due to be paid at the time of booking.

  • Bookings made within 10 weeks of your arrival date must be paid in full.

  • The balance must be paid no later than 10 weeks before your holiday is due to commence. If the balance is not paid by the due date, your holiday will be treated as a cancellation and the client will forfeit their deposit.

  • If you cancel more than 10 weeks before the holiday start date and you have not taken out our Holiday Cancellation Cover, your deposit will be forfeited.

  • If you cancel less than 10 weeks before the start of your holiday and you have not taken out our Holiday Cancellation Cover, a refund will not be due. 

  • All cancellations must be notified to us by email or telephone.

  • We recommend that you take out our Holiday Cancellation Cover or a comprehensive travel insurance to cover your booking. If you choose not to, you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to cancelling your holiday without adequate cover.

  • Once 1 working day has passed after making your booking, Mayfield Snuggery will not cancel your holiday other than exceptional circumstances beyond our control. Notification of the cancellation will be given as soon as possible and we will promptly refund all payments made for your holiday. Our liability for cancellation will be limited to payments made to us.

  • Our lodge accommodation is offered for the sole purpose of holiday lettings.

  • The maximum number of persons using a one-bedroom lodge at any time must not exceed 2 adults aged 18 or over, plus 1 infant under the age of 2 years. We reserve the right to terminate the booking without notice and without refund if this condition is breached. *Please note: from 1st January 2022, infants are not permitted to stay in our one bedroom lodges as they will become Adult Only lodges.

  • The maximum number of persons using a two-bedroom lodge at any time must not exceed 4 persons, plus 2 infants under the age of 2 years. We reserve the right to terminate the booking without notice and without refund if this condition is breached.

  • All outside noise is to be kept to a minimum level after 11pm each evening and any music, of any volume, is not permitted after this time. If, in our opinion, any person(s) is not suitable to continue the holiday because of unreasonable behaviour, damage to property, or annoyance to the holiday makers, the contract may be terminated, you may be asked to leave and no refund will be due.

  • The lead booker must be aged 18 or over.

  • Day visitors are only permitted by prior arrangement and at Mayfield Snuggery’s discretion.

  • Mayfield Snuggery reserves the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason.

  • We or our representatives reserve the right to enter the property at any time to undertake essential maintenance or for inspection purposes.

  • Check in to your lodge is from 5pm on the arrival day and you are required to vacate the lodge by 9am on the day of departure. Please note: The check in and check out times may change in the future and if they do, you will be made aware of this.

  • Pets are not permitted at Mayfield Snuggery.

  • Your vehicles, accessories and contents are left entirely at your risk. Mayfield Snuggery will not be responsible for any loss or damage from or to any vehicle.

  • In making a booking, you accept responsibility for any theft, breakage or damage caused by you or any member of your party and agree to indemnify us in full for any loss that we may incur as a result.

  • We ask you to please treat the accommodation with due care so that other guests may continue to enjoy them. If you notice something is missing or damaged in your lodge, please let us know immediately so that we can take the appropriate action. If there has been any damage or breakages during your stay, please report them promptly. The lodge will be inspected at the end of the holiday and you may be charged for any loss or damage.

  • We have a pond on site. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

  • Please lock the doors and close the windows when you leave the property unoccupied.

  • If the property is left in an unacceptable condition, Mayfield Snuggery reserves the right to charge the client to cover additional cleaning costs.

  • Mayfield Snuggery shall not be liable for any temporary defect or malfunction of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the building, grounds, hot tub or sauna.

  • No compensation will be given for any temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, internet connection or television service.

  • Mayfield Snuggery are not responsible for the loss of any personal belongings or valuables of the guest.
