  • Are pets allowed?
    Pets are not permitted in any of our lodges.
  • What is included in the lodge?
    *Refreshment starter pack - pint of milk, individually wrapped teabags, coffee sachets, sugar sachets, coffee pods *Cleaning pack - washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, scourer, hand sanitizer, anti-viral surface cleanser, dishcloth and bin liners *Miniature toiletries - shampoo, conditioner, soap bar, bath/shower gel, body lotion *Beds made up for arrival *Towels *Each adult is provided with a bath robe to use during their stay *Two toilet rolls per bathroom *Iron and ironing board *Fan *Hairdryer *Clothes Airer
  • What is the minimum stay?
    Short breaks run from Friday to Monday for three nights or Monday to Friday for four nights. Week long breaks run from either Monday or Friday. 10 night breaks start on a Friday. 14 night breaks start on a Monday or Friday. We do not offer one night stays.
  • How many do the lodges sleep?
    Our one-bedroom lodges accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 1 infant aged under 2 years old. Our two-bedroom lodge accommodates a maximum of 4 people plus up to 2 infants aged under 2 years.
  • What are the Terms and Conditions?

  • What are the arrival and departure times?
    Check-in time is from 4pm on your arrival day. Check-out time is by 10am on the day of departure.
  • What deposit is required?
    To book a holiday you must pay a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the full cost of the booking. If you are booking a holiday within 6 weeks of your chosen start date, you will need to pay for the booking in full.
  • When is my balance due?
    Balance payments are due 6 weeks prior to your arrival date. Balance payments used to be due 10 weeks prior to your arrival date but this has now changed.
  • How do I pay my balance?
    You can pay your balance on our website by following the instructions set out on your Booking Confirmation. *If there is a problem with the link on the email, please call us on 07498205176 or email us at enquiries@mayfieldsnuggery.com and we will resend the balance link by email.
  • How do I check in?
    Around 7 days prior to your arrival date, you will receive an email from us which will include information on how to find us along with a unique 4-digit code that you will use to obtain your lodge key from the safe box located by the front door of the lodge.
  • Do you offer Holiday Cancellation Cover?
    Yes. The Holiday Cancellation Cover is an optional extra at the cost of £55 and details can be found within our FAQ's
  • Tell me about the Holiday Cancellation Cover
    The Holiday Cancellation Cover provides you with complete peace of mind and allows you to cancel your booking prior to arrival regardless of the reason, you can simply just change your mind. Bookings covered by our Holiday Cancellation Cover will be entitled to the following, minus the Holiday Cancellation Cover fee: A full refund. However, if you cancel within 7 days of your check-in date, this will reduce to a 50% refund. The Holiday Cancellation Cover: *If required, must be added at the time of booking and paid in full. *Cannot be added at a later date. *Is non-refundable, unless your booking is cancelled by Mayfield Snuggery. *Will cover your booking until you arrive on site. Once you are on site, you will no longer be covered and no refunds will be given if for any reason you decide to leave early. You may wish to take out your own holiday insurance to cover this. Refunds: If we refund you in line with the terms above, we will return your money in the same way that you made your original payment, back to the same payment card, for example. How to claim: Step 1. Call Mayfield Snuggery on 07498205176 or email us at enquiries@mayfieldsnuggery.com detailing your request to cancel. Step 2. We will respond to tell you whether we are able to give you some money back - and the amount. Step 3. We will pay your refund to the card you used.
  • Is my booking covered if Covid-19 restrictions mean I am not allowed to travel?
    If your post code or our post code falls into an area where a local lockdown or national lockdown has been imposed by the government and it affects the holiday dates that you have booked, you would be entitled to either: *Transfer your holiday to a later date (subject to availability and paying any difference in cost if the new holiday is higher priced). *A full refund of all monies paid to us.
  • What additional measures have been put in place as a response to Covid-19?
    To protect our guests and staff, we have introduced the following measures to set an even higher bar of cleanliness: *Extra time has been allocated for the thorough cleaning of each lodge during changeover. *The use of anti-viral disinfectants on all surfaces and high touch areas as part of the cleaning process. *The hot tubs will be maintained to industry standards. Each hot tub is fully drained, cleaned, refilled and sanitised on each changeover. During guests stay, the hot tubs will be checked twice daily to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the water is maintained at all times. *As standard we offer contactless check-in wherby a unique 4 digit key code is used to access the key to the lodge. *Hand sanitiser and anti-viral surface cleanser is provided for guest use.
  • Are bed linen and towels provided?
    Bed linen is included and the beds are made up for your arrival. Bath towels are provided.
  • Are bath robes provided?
    A bath robe is provided for each adult booked in to stay. The robes are located in the bedroom wardrobe.
  • Can I park next to the lodge?
    Yes, there is space for two cars to park outside each lodge.
  • Is smoking permitted on site?
    It is strictly prohibited to smoke anwhere inside a lodge or immediately outside of it. Smoking is permitted a safe distance away from the lodge and must be done with caution. In the lodge will be an ash tray for you to take outside and use.. Please do not discard cigarettes anywhere other than in the ash tray we provide.
  • Can I have a BBQ?
    Yes. We ask that you please ensure a BBQ is only carried out on the patio area and a safe distance away from the lodge for safety reasons. If you would like a BBQ during your stay, you can request to hire one free of charge prior to or during your stay. We provide freestanding coal fuelled barbecues. You will need to provide the coal. When you have finished with the BBQ, once the coal is fully extinguished and completely cold, please dispose of the ash and thoroughly clean the barbecue. If you bring a disposable BBQ with you, please let us know and we can provide you with one of our barbecues to place it on.
  • Is the site accessible to those with mobility issues?
    The site is relatively flat, however we regret to inform you that none of our lodges are suitable for wheelchair users due to all of our lodges having standard sized internal and external doorways. There also would not be sufficient manoeuvring space for wheelchairs within the lodges unfortunately. None of our lodges have grab rails in them.
  • Do the lodges have WIFI?
    WIFI is provided. It is complimentary and unlimited. The password can be found in your lodge folder. We cannot guarantee the level of service, availability, quality or bandwidth etc.
  • Can I add a cot or highchair to my booking?
    Yes you can. These can be hired free of charge and can be added at the time of booking. You can also add them on at a later date. The cot is a travel cot and bedding is not provided.
  • Is there somewhere on site to do my laundry?
    In each lodge there is a washing machine and clothes airer.
  • Where is the nearest grocery store?
    Mayfield General Store is a little convenience store offering basic provisions just over half a mile from site. Approximately 1 mile from site is a Londis store within a BP Petrol Station. There are 4 different supermarkets in Ashbourne, the nearest town 2.5 miles from site. Aldi, M&S Food, Sainsburys and Co-op. If you would like to have your groceries delivered then most well-known supermarket chains will deliver to your lodge if you book online. If you do opt for a delivery then please make this known to a member of staff prior to arrival and please schedule a delivery slot after 4pm if it is for your arrival day.
  • Can I have visitors during my stay?
    Day visitors are permitted by prior arrangment only and at Mayfield Snuggery's discretion. If you are planning on having guests visit you, please contact us beforehand with your request.
  • Where is the nearest pub/restaurant?
    The Royal Oak is a traditional village pub located 1 mile from site / approximately 25 minute walk from site. The small market town of Ashbourne is 3 miles away. You will find many pubs and restaurants in Ashbourne.
  • Can I order from local takeaways?
    Yes you can. In the lodge will be a folder containing various local takeaway menus.
